What is your morning routine?
At around 8-8:30am my iPhone starts talking to my brain, and after a grumpy sigh, I give in, grabbing it to check social media, emails, or news for about five minutes or so.
After getting up and refreshing myself I religiously brew a cup of coffee before getting ready to head out. I live in central London, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than grabbing my bicycle and sprinting to my office in Soho as my commute. The fresh air on my face really wakes me up, and by the time I arrive at my desk I am ready to kick off another great day.
How has your morning routine changed over recent years?
The biggest change was getting my single speed bicycle last year to commute to work. Best decision ever.
What time do you go to sleep?
Around about midnight.
Do you use an alarm to wake you up in the morning, and if so do you ever hit the snooze button?
I use the default iPhone alarm on my 5S, and I probably hit the snooze button a couple of times each morning!
How soon after waking up do you have breakfast, and what do you typically have?
I grab a first light breakfast right after I wake up. It consists of a cup of coffee I brew using an aeropress, and some recently grounded beans, alongside a piece of fruit.
Do you see to email first thing in the morning or leave it until later in the day?
I usually check it early in the morning, but might wait until later in the day to answer.
How soon do you check your phone in the morning, either for calls/messages or social media and news?
It’s the first thing I do, usually even before I leave the bed. Whether it’s Twitter, emails, or any Facebook nonsense, I usually check everything for about five minutes or so until I convince myself to get up.
